Annual Golf Event - Thursday 26th August 2021
Our Annual Golf Event is one of our main fundraisers and is a real highlight every year. This competitive, but fun event is open to teams of four, either male, female or mixed teams. The event is played in a fantastic spirit and always a great day for all concerned. Maximum Handicaps are 24 for gents and 36 for ladies. The names of team members and handicaps will only be required at registration on the day.
This year our event will be played at Alyth Golf Club, Perthshire. Alyth is a fantastic 18 hole heathland course, which was established in 1894, with the original 9 holes were designed by the master ‘Old Tom Morris’ of St Andrews fame. We had very positive feedback from our teams from last year’s event which was held on this wonderful course. We hope many of you will be returning to play again this year and we welcome any new teams who would like to come along.
Happily, this year, as we emerge from Covid-19, our event will take place with fewer restrictions than last year. But, we must be mindful that things may change at short notice. With the current guidance we anticipate the day will be structured as follows: Teams will meet from 12.30 for refreshments. There will be a Shotgun Tee Off at 2.00 pm. The day will conclude with a meal, prize giving, auction and raffle. Entry cost per team is £300 which includes the Team, Red Ball and Putting Competitions, as well as the Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin events.
In addition there are optional competitions of Hitting the Green with Tee Shot at the 3rd Hole and Beat The Pro plus an opportunity to win a brand new Audi, thanks to sponsorship by John Clark Dundee Audi.
