We are funded through donations and fundraising events, we have one part time members of staff to keep things on track but out with that our team is all volunteers who give up their time for free to support what we do.
We spend the majority of our income on complimentary therapies for our clients in the form of counselling or other therapies. We pay a subsidised rent in our offices and part time salaries for our team members and lastly tea and coffee for our drop in
cafes and to keep our volunteers going!
Anyone who either has cancer or is supporting someone on their cancer journey can tap into our services e.g family or friends. You don’t need a specific referral, you can just get in touch. There are no costs associated with our services.
Anyone who has a passion for what we do and the mission that we are on! We welcome people with all skill sets and enthusiasms, whether you have 1 hour a month to befriend, would like to help distribute our brochures or fancy helping us run an event…we welcome you! The individuals who give up their time for free to support us are the lifeblood of the charity that then give us the energy to raise funds and awareness and in turn do what we do best and support those who are living with cancer.
