Tayside Cancer Support

Our Team

Linda Swan

Chair

Retired Head Teacher, I have volunteered with the charity since 2005. I joined the charity to help make a difference to individuals and families affected by cancer. I have met some amazing people, both clients. volunteers and community partners. A challenging and rewarding experience, so far!

Amanda Sultka

Previously the Befriender Supervisor/Office Manager, I have now joined the Executive Committee to contribute her skills in finance and management to the charity.

I’m a retired nurse with lots of interests. I enjoy fitness, especially going to the gym and walking. As well as volunteering for Tayside Cancer Support I am also a volunteer guide for the National Trust at Barry Mill. However, my greatest pleasure is spending time with my four lovely granddaughters.

I'm a Strategy Professional with experience in strategy development and execution, change leadership, process improvement, and transformation. I joined the committee at TCS primarily because of my passion for giving back to the community. The mission of TCS resonates deeply with me, and being part of the committee has provided a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the community in my own little way.

I have always volunteered in one way or another from a young age but as I progressed in more corporate roles in my career I realised I was developing skills that could be beneficial to the committee. Also, along with the majority of the population unfortunately I also have been personally affected by cancer and understand the toll it takes on both those affected as well as their families. Tayside Cancer Supports mission is so important to help these individuals during one of the most difficult times of their lives and I feel privileged to help with that.

I’m a wife of 1, Mum of 2 and servant to our 2 mini schnauzer dogs! A good day for me (apart from endless dog walks) is family fun, or a peaceful kayak paddle on the Tay. My professional background is nursing and project management within health and social care. I joined TCS Executive Group in 2023, as I’m keen to use my skills to support local voluntary and charitable organisations that help people when times are tough. Sometimes we just need a listening ear, or someone to help us cope with life’s difficult times…that’s what TCS is here for.

I am an executive coach who works with entrepreneurs to support their own development and help them grow their businesses. I joined the charity in 2023 to support its growth so we can continue to support clients across Tayside and the surrounding area. I love coming up with new ideas to help us raise further funds to achieve this goal!

Arlene Napier

Befriender Supervisor

Arlene is responsible for supporting our clients and volunteer befrienders. She is the first point of contact for our client referrals and a liaison point with our counsellor and complementary therapist.
